Music Therapy For Newcomers is a program operated by MSS. This program is targeted towards community members and newcomers of all ages. In addition, this program is an excellent approach to music therapy that not only builds a stronger community, but aids in creating an environment that is more sensitive to cultures while embracing the idea of social change and social integration. Furthermore, music is an amazing tool when working with children with special needs, but also to help parents develop new tools to help their children. Music therapy targets different domains that can all improve the life of families: language communication, fine and gross motor skills, emotional regulation, expression and socialization. Depending on the needs, music therapy interventions are created to focus on the main areas to develop.
