Newcomer Training workshops for second line community resources

If you are new in the community and want to learn all about useful services and programs in the community that will help you in your integration process, these workshops are for you.

Muslim Social Services is hosting an 8 weeks of workshops in the Kitchener- Waterloo area.

When: Every Wednesday evening starting April 30, 2014 from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm
Where: The Family Centre, 65 Hanson Avenue.

Topics that will be covered include but are not limited to:
Belonging in Canada
Family and children’s services
Family Violence issues
Volunteering in the community
Mental Health and Trauma
Resume and Job Search
Immigration and settlement

Interpreters will be present to help translate the session material into various languages.
Bus tickets will be provided for those who require them.
Registration is limited to twenty participants and will be offered on a first come first serve basis. Each participant must commit to all the workshops and will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program.
